Popcorn Popping on the Apricot Tree

Posted by Colleen

Well, the popcorn must have worked because our tree is loaded! It is seriously the biggest apricot tree I have ever seen. Here's some pics:

This is just a small portion of it. You can see the orange peeking out everywhere.

There are clumps like this all over the tree. Most of them are about this shade, so if you want some, come and get them! (If you don't know where we live, give us a call or send us an email and I will give you our address)

We have been doing lots of yard work. We got a little garden area in on the corner under our apricot tree, and rubber mulch around our three non-fruit trees in front. They look a lot better. I am sorry we didn't post anything about it, but our cherries have come and gone. We made some delicious pies from them and ate a lot of worms!

Lydia had her first food, some rice cereal. Here is how she looked after that encounter:

Michelle had a birthday, so we went over to Jared's parent's house. Anyone who knows his family knows that Coke is a staple in their diet, so when Lydia saw everyone with these cool looking bottles, she just had to have one too.

She is rolling all over the place now and wiggles her way around like a little caterpillar. She has wiggled off the bed twice in the past 24 hours, even with a pillow between her and the edge of the bed. We can't leave her anywhere unattended except her crib. She also wants so bad to sit up by herself. She won't lean back against you when you are holding her anymore and she always gets herself stuck leaning so far forward in her bouncy seat that she can touch the ground!

We found out this summer that we have wild blackberry bushes growing all around our yard! I'm gonna be making lots of jam...
